- Before you start your application, please read all the material that’s available about the job. It’s also worth having a look at ba.com to find out more about us.
- Please read and answer all the questions carefully when completing the online application.
- Choose somewhere quiet to complete your form. It’s best to complete it in one attempt, and please make use of the save buttons.
- Before submitting your application, please ensure all the sections have been completed.
- To ensure equal opportunity and fairness for all applicants, please do not discuss the details of your application or share your application responses with others. Discussing your application details and any of the subsequent assessment processes could advantage other applicants and potentially disadvantage you and may disqualify you from the selection process.
The online application
This should take approximately 40 minutes to complete if you’ve prepared your answers in advance. Your responses will be recorded and may be verified later in the selection process.
It will ask you to:
- Confirm that you meet the minimum requirements for the role.
- Answer multiple-choice questions ranging from factual questions to questions that ask you to consider how you would approach customer service situations. Your responses to one question can determine which questions are asked next.
- Answer questions that allow you to demonstrate your skills and abilities in relation to the role you are applying for. When asked for examples, please try to use work ones. When approaching these questions it’s advisable to cover the situation, your actions and the overall outcome within your response. There will be a maximum word count for each and you will need to enter your word count at the end of each answer.
- Complete details of your past five years’ experience and the roles you’ve held in this period.
The assessment centre
If you are successful at the online application stage, you will be invited to book yourself into the assessment centre. This assessment will last approximately half a day and it should be both interesting and challenging for you.
The assessment centre is designed to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your motivation, skills and behaviours in relation to the roles in Mixed Fleet. It comprises a series of assessment events including an interview, individual role-plays and a group exercise.
You will be assessed throughout the assessment centre and you should wear business clothes (no trainers or jeans).
